Prison Chaplain’s Story The Bible Society of Maine has made it possible to put Bibles into the hands of many of our inmates. Let me tell of one of our young men who is facing 3-plus years in the state prison system. He not only received Christ as Savior, he gratefully accepted a Bible. He also participates in Bible studies and attends services on Sunday. He prays for his family and other inmates and encourages their Bible reading and attendance at services. When he was preparing for transfer to prison, with tears in his eyes, he shook my hand and thanked me for helping to transform his life. We can never thank you enough for all you do. At present, 124 inmates have made professions of faith in our Lord Jesus in just the last four months. Only heaven will know the difference the Bible Society of Maine has made in so many young men’s and women's lives. Thank you so very much for allowing me the privilege of delivering Bibles to those on the inside. Rev. Wally Staples, Chaplain Two Bridges Regional Jail
